Here am I, sitting at Hungry Jacks Adelaide Airport. Waiting. Waiting for my flight to Melbourne with fellow choral members for our "One Voice" Easter Musical.
It has been a while now, since I last blogged. Things have changed. Ecamp was over, term break is almost over. What have I achieved up till now? Hmm. A very good question to reflect upon I guess.
God has been very gracious, and has blessed me abundantly this year. He has brought so many people into my life who encourage me, challenge me, and spur me to grow deeper in the Lord!
Here I stand today to give You all the praise and glory, Lord!

Updatess
It's been a while since I last blogged... really...
The past two months has indeed been interesting, God has been indeed molding and stretching my faith through incidences that He has put in my life.
I've been involved in an Easter Production "One Voice" by Soul Factor Gospel Choir. I myself got reminded of the greatness of His amazing love through this musical. It is just unbelievable to see the scene where "Christ" hanging on the cross, how much more we all knew that He did so in that time.
Apart from school work, I've been busy catching up with people around me. It is so interesting to get to know their life stories, and I'm truly blessed to have these amazing bunch of friends.
Looking forward for greater things that He has in stored for me...

A New Beginning
Oh man! Time really flies when you're having fun! It's now the end of my summer holiday and I'll be flying off back to Adelaide in 2 days time! Indeed, I've had the most fruitful summer holiday this time!
1. Experiencing God
God has been really amazing especially in these few months! And I'm sure that He will continue to be who He is in many years to come! He has been leading and guiding me (though sometimes I may not know it), every decisions I've made is absolutely in His perfect plan! He has been showing His power in amazing ways and I do pray that I'll continue to stay close with Him and will not diverge from Him!
2. Engineering Placement
The 6-weeks placement I have in the latex gloves manufacturing plant has indeed opened up my eyes toward my future career as a Chemical Engineer. Now, I do appreciate the knowledge I've gained from the university and I'm sure that I've chose the right career path! Really looking forward for the next 40 odd years...
3. Friendships
Got to know a few of my friends better through the sharings and laughters. Friends are important in lives, where they can cheer you up, be with you in times of need, or even lending you a listening ears... Thank God for the amazing people He has brought across my life! Hope we do cherish every moments we have and continue to walk the journey of life!
Really looking forward for a new beginning back in the Aussie land.

People Need The Lord
Romans 10:9
"If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."
The above is the Word that God has placed in my heart this morning! As a christian, we need to declare to the world that Jesus Christ is the Lord of all. And we need to be fully convicted in our heart of the message preached of Christ's death and resurrection for the salvation of mankind.
We are called to be His witness to the world! The world is desperately in need of HIM! The end time is near, everyone! Will we raise up to our calling today?!

Footprints
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.
In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand.
Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.
This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints.
So I said to the Lord,
“You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always.
But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life, there has only been one set of footprints in the sand.
Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”
The Lord replied,
“The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”

Blessing in Disguise
I just can't believe I could not stop blogging! Thoughts just keep coming!
The road trip we've had was very eventful:
1) Started with the lost of an iphone 4 and a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 during our adventure trip into one of the natural cave in Ipoh. (Both the phones was water damaged due to leakage in a resealable bag!) Thank God for saving the Xperia X10, but the iphone 4 was claimed to be dead. Seriously still hoping it'll function miraculously after some time.
2) Followed by a car accident in Singapore, where the bumper of the car was ripped off, and some dents at the body of the car. Thank God again for protection that none of us got injured.
Well, some of these events might have happened due to our own faults. But it did remind me of God's blessings in our lives. Material things that we possessed might be lost due to various incidents, but the relationships and friendships are for a whole life time! God indeed had awakened me of how blessed I am with the people that He has placed in my life! None of you have came across my path by accident, God has placed you here for a reason!
Will I be a blessing in your life?! I do hope so!

Great Start of the Year!
I've been feeling a little emotional for the past few days. Ever since the final closing of the road trip. This trip (refer to previous post) has indeed foster the bonds between the 5 of us! We've got to know each other better through the midnight sharings and laughters.
My life now just feel so much emptiness without their presence. I know, we'll be meeting each other in like 3-4 weeks time. But things are just gonna be different! We might not be able to meet each other so frequently due to commitments in studies and church. I seriously do hope that in this new year of 2011, I'll make sure I'll be there to encourage them and spur them as we grow close in Him! And I do hope that we can cherish every moments that we still have together (before any of us graduate and head somewhere else)!
Indeed, this is a great start of the year! Hopefully the coming months are gonna be better!

Friendships
Another year has yet passed! It was such a great start of the year to spend time with a bunch of your friends. Travelling around together has indeed opened up ourselves for sharing, laughters, tears, frights and joy! It's only been a day since we all last met (and to one 5 days), and yet, I'm missing you guys!
The fun trip started all the way up north in Penang, where we got stuffed with window shopping, food, the crazy driving around, jet ski and banana boat rides. There after, in Ipoh with much more food, more window shopping, climbing up and down in the pitch-black cave of Ipoh, visits to some of the tourist attractions. We have definitely gained lots of weight throughout. The journey continued down south to KL, where we get to experience the unwanted technical problems in the LRT, where doors do not open when they supposed to! We had much fun walking around in major shopping complexes, visited Sunway Lagoon where they snatch your money like crazy! Nevertheless, we experienced and challenged ourselves to the max, with three Tomahawks rides in a row, two pirate ship rides and reverse bungee ride for 2! :P Fun fun fun!
The trip continues with our last pit stop at Singapore. We've been brought to lots of shopping places, and INTERESTING food - fried mars bars, bak chor mee, chili crabs... And all the cars were parked as if they are in show rooms! Shiny floors, cars, toilets, heart-to-heart talks are still freshly in my mind! Indeed, what a nice 2 weeks! Thanks guys for being there and the accompaniment! I sincerely hope that we can all cherish these friendships and encourage one another as we journey through the years!

Back in Tanah Airku!
It's the time of the year when everyone tries to escape the warm summer!
Of course, I also joined the fun and flew back to my beloved Tanah Air! The weather here is warm and humid, just like how it should be. My craving for Nasi Lemak, Chili Crab is finally satisfied!
I'm gonna stay here for a few more months, I'm sure it's gonna be awesome!

Semangat Patriotik
It's has been very very long since I last posted on this blog!
Malaysia's Independence Day is up tomorrow! I have never felt this feeling of patriotic before. I always wanted to leave Malaysia due to uncountable reasonssss.. And now, after being away for so long, I started to miss Malaysia...
After all, I am still "Anak Malaysia". This year, I'm very proud to be able to meet a few former choir members, and we're going to perform on the street here in Australia by singing patriotic songs! And I'm actually very proud and excited about it!

Hour of darkness
Today is Earth Hour day. We are encouraged to off our lights from 8.30pm - 9.30pm. But for me, I can't be bother switching my lights on after sunset. So I spent my whole evening thinking and reflecting upon my life.
Well, many random thoughts did flash across my mind, and I'm not sure they are useful. But one thing I must note, is a short book from the Discovery Series of RBC of which I've read in late December. The words in the book are still so clear in my heart. The title of the book was "The Mockery and the Majesty of Calvary".
As per the title says, the book was mainly about the Good Friday story - the Crucifixion of Christ. Yes, it's only a week away from Good Friday and Easter. Reflecting upon the scripture, this period that Christ has gone through, can be dramatic to someone, can be gruesome, but for me, it's awesome! Let me clarify, isn't it awesome that God sent His OWN Son as an atonement for our sins, the greatest sinners of the whole universe? We definitely is not worthy of Him to die for us, for because of His great love and mercy, Christ died for us to reconcile us back to the Father.
We cannot even imagine of the suffering that Christ has gone through. Quoting from the book that I've mentioned earlier.
The Torture of The Cross
The physical aspects of crucifixion event were excruciating. The cross was laid on the ground and the condemned stretched upon it. Historians believe that the nails - 9 to 12 inches long - were probably not driven through the palms of the hands but rather through the spaces between the small bones of the wrist. This would take the nail through the main nerve center leading to the hand and would prevent the executed individual from pulling the nail through the fleshy webbing of the hand and attempting escape - as if that were ever possible. The victim's feet would then be overlapped and, with knees slightly bent, forced onto a small pedestal on the cross. Once the condemned was nailed to the cross, the executioners would hoist it up with ropes and drop it into a prepared hole in the ground where the cross would come crashing down with a thud. It seems ridiculously obvious to say, but all of this would have been unbelievably painful. The nails would have felt like flaming pokers to the nerves and muscles of the hands and feet. The lifting would have been disorienting, perhaps even resulting in momentary vertigo. Most painful of all, however, would have been when the cross was dropped into the ground. The jolt would have resulted in a violent pulling of the victim's shoulders and elbows - which were unable to "give" under the forceful wrenching of the body. This often resulted in shoulder separations and shoulder dislocations, which would have been horrific. Yet as terrifyingly brutal as all of this was, it was only the beginning...
Well, the article continues on describing the physical pain of someone who was condemned of a cross sentence. But as for Christ, the most painful of all, is the separation from God throughout the whole crucifixion process.
Why? Why did Christ has to suffer these? Because of the love of Christ. Yes, as Christian in this modern living world, it's hard to resist the temptation of the world, remembering that the teaching of Paul in Romans 12:2 "Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." Yes, it IS hard! But, how difficult is this compared to the suffering that Christ gone through back in those days? Brothers and Sisters, let us hold on to Christ, for He has victory over all! Let us seek Him for strength and wisdom as we carry our cross daily. May we all be strong and bold in Him and bring the gospel to the unreached!

Map of Life
I've just enrolled for a online bible course. The first lesson is an important but yet being forgotten by some of the Christians today - The Map of Life.
The lesson was being introduced by a short story of a boy and the father.
The boy had never seen his father study a map so carefully. He asked, "Father, why are you looking at that map?" His father smiled. "This map shows the streets of the city to which we are going. They say there is work there, in the city." Then the father's smile became a little sad. "I used to always know where I was," he said, "but the world has changed. Now we are going where we have never been before. For that, one needs a map."
The journey was long, and there was much time for thought. After a while, the boy again looked to his father. "Father, my birthday is coming soon. I know that I should not ask for much, but there is one thing you could give me." "I will give you whatever I can, son. What is it you want?" The boy replied, "A map." The father was puzzled. "Why do you ask for a map?"
The boy thought carefully. He said, "Because I will be growing older. I will be going where I have never been before. And you said, 'for that, one needs a map.'"
Yes! Indeed the truth is, whether young or old, we are all going where we have never been before. Every day we face new decisions, new demands, and new dangers. How are we to find our way safely through these? How are we to guide our families and especially our young ones? There are maps for every part of the world. But is there a map for the greatest journey of all, life itself?
How quickly this one, brief life passes. To ruin it by choosing a wrong road would be a terrible waste. How can we be sure of life's true purpose and direction? How can we be certain that we have made proper preparation for what lies beyond death? In seeking a Map for life, we should open the Bible because of the claims it makes. Again and again it assures us that it is the pure word from our Maker. Yes, the map for life.
Great man of God like Moses, King David,and Jeremiah has been emphasizing that the Word are from God through the Spirit! We must therefore seriously ask, "Did these prophets have a bad habit of lying? Or were they speaking the truth and God really did speak through them?"
Jesus assured us that these Bible prophets spoke the truth. Jesus relied on their reports of history (Matthew 12:40; 24:37-39). He trusted in all their writings, and taught us to have the same trust (Matthew 5:17-19; Luke 16:17, 29; 24:27, 44; John 5:39-47). He based His arguments on the exact words they used (Matthew 19:5-6; 22:32).
Paul urged his friend Timothy to be a good student of these Scriptures. Why? They are "the word of truth" (2 Timothy 2:15). The apostles' writings make them even more valuable to truth seekers, for to the apostles Jesus promised "all truth" (John 16:13). There can be no doubt what the Bible is claiming to be: the Guide Book or the Map from our Maker who calls us to fulfill the special purpose for which He created us.
Many claim to speak for, or about, God. Making loud claims is easy. The hard part is proving those claims to be true. Most books by great thinkers do not try to offer real proof. The Bible not only offers good evidence, it is itself the proof!
The Bible, written over many centuries, stands alone in combining two things: It foretold coming events. Then, much later, it reported their fulfillment. These are not 'guesses' about small, hidden happenings. Many of the Bible's prophecies deal with entire nations, and world-changing events. Hundreds of the prophecies are about the King called Christ.
Well, the summary of this lesson will be: God's Message leads you into better, happier living. It brings you hope, joy, love and life.

The lesson was being introduced by a short story of a boy and the father.
The boy had never seen his father study a map so carefully. He asked, "Father, why are you looking at that map?" His father smiled. "This map shows the streets of the city to which we are going. They say there is work there, in the city." Then the father's smile became a little sad. "I used to always know where I was," he said, "but the world has changed. Now we are going where we have never been before. For that, one needs a map."
The journey was long, and there was much time for thought. After a while, the boy again looked to his father. "Father, my birthday is coming soon. I know that I should not ask for much, but there is one thing you could give me." "I will give you whatever I can, son. What is it you want?" The boy replied, "A map." The father was puzzled. "Why do you ask for a map?"
The boy thought carefully. He said, "Because I will be growing older. I will be going where I have never been before. And you said, 'for that, one needs a map.'"
Yes! Indeed the truth is, whether young or old, we are all going where we have never been before. Every day we face new decisions, new demands, and new dangers. How are we to find our way safely through these? How are we to guide our families and especially our young ones? There are maps for every part of the world. But is there a map for the greatest journey of all, life itself?
How quickly this one, brief life passes. To ruin it by choosing a wrong road would be a terrible waste. How can we be sure of life's true purpose and direction? How can we be certain that we have made proper preparation for what lies beyond death? In seeking a Map for life, we should open the Bible because of the claims it makes. Again and again it assures us that it is the pure word from our Maker. Yes, the map for life.
Great man of God like Moses, King David,and Jeremiah has been emphasizing that the Word are from God through the Spirit! We must therefore seriously ask, "Did these prophets have a bad habit of lying? Or were they speaking the truth and God really did speak through them?"

Treasure It!
Last Sunday, when I searched through my church's book shelves, I've found a few copies of Malay Language New Testament Bible.
I picked it up. As I hold it in my hands, I felt a great deal of satisfaction in my heart! This is because Malay Bibles are no longer allowed to be imported from other countries due to some political issues earlier on.
This little Malay Bible, has taught me to treasure what we already have, and be grateful for it! As we have received the salvation through Christ, let us continue to live out our salvation! Never ever take it for granted! Also, let us share the great joy and news to our friends and neighbors.
Philippians 2:12-13
"Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; 13 for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. "

Project Pressure

The call sign is PP for project pressure,
Even as we speak, friends of friends of friends are actually starting to voice this out among various countries among the locals. Malaysian Harvard law students are spreading the reality to their law friends, Malaysian professionals working in Australia are sharing this with their working colleagues. I even have a friend in Boston who is writing and sharing this out as a thread in gmail.
The whole idea is to let the world know the reality of Malaysia. The injustice that has been under the radar. The world has been shaded by Malaysian government and does not know what is really happening in Malaysia like we know it. We know that Human rights do not exist for non-bumis. We know that religious freedom is a facade. We know the truths from the lies.
We, those who are overseas, are given a chance to voice out to the world, something that Malaysians inside Malaysia cannot do. The idea is to stand united, to get the world's attention that we are in need of intervention. Following the trend of Indonesia. They started out with riots, then firebombing church, then killing. We are just one step away from murdering Malaysians. Why did the international community not do anything about the killings? Why, although considered murder in the international tribunal, did no international association stood up? My answer, perhaps it lies in the fact that those who are in power who can do something do not know about it. Perhaps we as Malaysians can learn from this to avoid a repetitive mistake. This is reality, my family who go to church one day, might be in the news headlines tomorrow. "300+ murder in church in Sunday service). Malaysians, we are heading down that track!
I urge every single Malaysian who has a voice to help me start this project, Project Pressure. To be a voice to the world. So that the world community can see the reality. Internationally people are blissfully unaware of the situation, what does not hurt me has no concerns to me. But we know, it is only a matter of time before it starts affecting the world, all we need to look at is History. When no one intervene Germany, we started a world war.
How can I help?
* By telling other Malaysians friends about this project. Asking them to inform other Malaysian friends about this as well. Project Pressure (PP) will be a world wide movement.
* By telling them to inform the locals, their friends critical questions such as: Have you ever wondered how come there are so many Chinese Malaysians studying here although we are only the minority? What happen to the Malaysia? Did you know that non-bumis do not get benefits from the governments for property investments?
We do not know, but hopefully we a hype, international governments will start seeing the situation as a real problem. And Malaysia by then will be placed under the magnifying glass of the world. If people in power in Malaysia are true to what they practice, they should have no fear of the international scene. But if it is true what we overseas Malaysians are advocating, than hopefully change would start happening.
I am not asking for a reformation. I am not asking to bring down the government. I am not asking for a war. I am asking for the world to know what is happening around us. I am only doing my part, I believe that God will do the rest.
I believe in Jesus Christ, and I believe that God has not called us out of Malaysia without a bigger purpose than to run away from the things in Malaysia. I believe we, overseas Malaysians, are the perfect instrument for this projects.
Do what you can to share this with your friends, let this be your passion. It is really simple. Tell and tell and tell, we may not be able to stop churches being burn down today or the next week, but we can at least say we have done our part for our country, for its future.
I am proud to be a Malaysian, if there is a 1Malaysia, let it be now.

Persecution
My heart breaks as I heard the news that the Churches in KL were being burnt and cars with christian articles were being smashed yesterday. These were the result of riots by the muslim against christians for the usage of the name of "Allah".
Persecution as being mentioned in the bible as painful trails.
"Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the suffering of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed." 1Peter 12:13
But this incident has reminded me of how crucial it is to take up the commission that God has given us at this end days, to spread His gospel. Take heart, brothers and sisters, always remember that no matter how bad the situation might be, God is always in control!

A little further
Well, it has been eight days after the new year!
Today, my course enrollment has finally opened. This has taken me a little further of what is expected ahead of me. More studies and works. This is going to be the same for all university students.
Friends, do treasure the break that we have right now to charge up yourselves and start afresh again in March! As for those who are doing summer school, have fun!

Looking Forward
Things have been interesting so far!
Although I have to go for my work placement on the first day of the year, but I have been exposed to more detailed information regarding engineering works. This experience is invaluable!
As the weeks passes by, I have adapted myself to the work of an engineer in a manufacturing plant. I had some really great supervisors at work, who have been giving me a lot of precious information regarding the manufacturing processes which I believe will be of great help during my remaining course!
Well, I'm excited for the incoming weeks remaining at the plant, and hope that I can dig even more information from the books that I'm gonna read! Though the place I'm working in is dusty, noisy and dirty, but I like the job. Thank God that I'm in the right field!! =)
So far, the year has been good! Looking forward for more to come!
